An 18-week professional development experience for commissioned notaries who want to develop the knowledge, preparation, and professional confidence needed to conduct trust and estate signing ceremonies.
Estate signings are not simply another category of documents to notarize. They involve people, families, important decisions, and legal documents that may affect generations.
The CESP Intensive prepares notaries to approach these appointments with intention, structure, professional boundaries, and respect for the individuals involved.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥?
The CESP Intensive is designed for commissioned notaries public who want to establish or strengthen a professional specialty in trust and estate signings.
You may be a newer commissioned notary exploring this area of practice, or an experienced notary who wants to move beyond general notarizations and develop a more structured approach to estate signing appointments.
You do not need to be an estate planning attorney, and the Intensive does not train notaries to practice law.
Instead, it focuses on understanding the professional role of the notary signing professional, recognizing common estate planning documents, preparing for appointments, conducting organized signing ceremonies, and working appropriately with attorneys and their clients.
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗬
The Intensive follows a five-phase learning framework:
𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗜: 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘
Develop a foundation in estate signing terminology, commonly encountered documents, professional responsibilities, and the boundaries of the notary's role.
𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗜𝗜: 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬
Learn to prepare for and conduct organized estate signing ceremonies, manage appointment logistics, communicate professionally, and respond appropriately when questions or complications arise.
𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗜𝗜𝗜: 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 & 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗦
Explore professional positioning, networking, communication, and relationship development with estate planning attorneys and other appropriate referral sources.
𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗜𝗩: 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
Strengthen professional judgment, service readiness, ethical awareness, and the systems that support a sustainable estate signing specialty.
𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗩: 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 & 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗨𝗘 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Bring together the knowledge, operational skills, and business development concepts covered throughout the Intensive, culminating in the required capstone presentation.
𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
The Intensive is a separate educational program. Its tuition is not included in either CESP Skool membership tier.
𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: $499
Payment options:
• Pay $499 in full at enrollment.
• Installment option: $199 at enrollment, $150 on day 30, and $150 on day 60.
𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: $374.25
A 25% tuition discount, representing a savings of $124.75.
Payment options:
• Pay $374.25 in full at enrollment.
• Installment option: $174.25 at enrollment, $100 on day 30, and $100 on day 60.
There is no additional installment-plan fee.
𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧
To receive the discounted tuition, you must have maintained an active, paid CESP Elevate membership for at least 60 consecutive days before purchasing the Intensive.
Qualifying continuous paid membership from the previous CESP membership structure counts toward this requirement.
The discount is determined at the time of purchase. Joining Elevate immediately before registration does not automatically qualify an applicant for discounted tuition.
𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗩𝗦. 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦
CESP Explore is a free community membership. CESP Elevate is a separate paid membership offering expanded community resources and benefits.
All accepted Intensive candidates receive access to the Intensive classroom and the training materials, assignments, and assessments included with their purchased program.
Purchasing the Intensive does not automatically provide access to unrelated Elevate-only community resources.
If an Elevate member purchases the Intensive and later cancels Elevate, their purchased Intensive access remains in place, subject to the enrollment agreement and program policies. Other Elevate-only benefits end when their membership access ends.

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧: Submitting an application or making a payment does not, by itself, establish acceptance into the CESP Intensive.
An applicant must submit a properly completed and digitally signed enrollment agreement and receive acceptance from CESP before becoming an Intensive Candidate.
𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Acceptance into the Intensive is the beginning of the certification process, not the award of certification.
To earn the Certified Estate Signing Professional designation, a candidate must satisfy the program's applicable requirements, including:
• Submission and approval of the required enrollment agreement before acceptance.
• Verification of an active notary public commission.
• Completion of required instructional activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Completion of the required capstone presentation.
• Satisfaction of participation and program completion requirements.
• Payment of all outstanding Intensive tuition before certification is issued.
The CESP designation and official certification logo may be used only after certification has been earned and issued by CESP.

The CESP Intensive provides professional education for commissioned notaries. It does not confer legal authority, expand a notary's statutory powers, authorize the practice of law, or replace the requirements of any commissioning jurisdiction. Candidates remain responsible for complying with the laws and rules applicable to their notarial acts. Certification is awarded by the CESP program and is not a government-issued notary commission or license.

We recognize that not every notary has the same availability. To accommodate different schedules, CESP may offer additional Intensive cohorts when enrollment demand supports them.
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁
Tuesdays, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Eastern
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁
Tuesdays, 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Eastern
This additional cohort may open with a minimum of 10 confirmed enrollments.
𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁
Mondays, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Eastern
This option may be offered if enrollment demand supports an additional evening cohort.
Each cohort is limited to a maximum of 20 candidates to support meaningful participation and interaction.
Additional cohorts are not guaranteed and will be confirmed by CESP before candidates are assigned to them.
Estate planning documents represent families, assets, wishes, and legacies. The notary at the table needs more than familiarity with a signature line. This work calls for preparation, sound judgment, clear communication, and care for the people signing.
You may be sitting with a couple planning for retirement, an individual preparing for an unexpected medical situation, or a family gathering around a loved one in hospice. Each appointment brings its own circumstances. Your ability to arrive prepared, maintain a calm signing environment, and recognize when to pause and contact the preparing attorney matters.
Developing this specialty helps you build consistent signing practices, navigate sensitive environments, and work professionally with estate planning attorneys. It also means understanding your limits. You guide the signing process within your authorized role while leaving legal explanations and advice to the attorney.
Trust and estate signing work can also give your business a focused direction beyond loan signings. It does not depend on housing sales or interest rates. Individuals and families work with estate planning professionals throughout the year to protect themselves, provide for those they love, and prepare for the future. Serving them well creates opportunities to build lasting professional relationships based on preparation, reliability, and trust.
The title of Dean’s second best-selling book, “People’s Lives in Ink on Paper,” captures the responsibility behind this work. The names on those pages belong to the people sitting across from you. Their documents reflect personal decisions about who they trust, what they value, and how they want their wishes carried forward. Remembering that changes how you prepare, how you communicate, and how you show up.
CESP supports your development through community, practical education, and an optional certification pathway. Whether you are exploring estate signings or making this work your specialty, the goal is to help you serve with greater knowledge, professional judgment, and care. Those who successfully complete all certification requirements earn the Certified Estate Signing Professional designation.
Your Mindset. Your Mission. Your Specialty.
